A Month-Long Study of Herbalism by the Moon
Working with plants is written in my DNA. I feel very deep connections with my German ancestors. I can envision myself walking beside them as they forage for herbs and mushrooms in the forests of Germany. My mother actually confirmed this~her mother used to make elderflower wine and gathered wild mushrooms.
I’ve always felt an affinity for plants. As a child I would mix up potions in the yard and play games with clovers and plantain flower heads. Of course, there was a spurt of time where ‘gardening was boring’, so I missed a good decade (teen years, anyone??) of hands on knowledge with my mother.
It wasn’t until I became a mother myself at 20 that I started weaving back into the web of plant medicine. Over the past twenty years I’ve deepened my relationship with the Earth and her medicine. Thus, Wild Earth Herbals was born. I strive to create medicine solely from wild foraged and locally cultivated plants~to bring back the home medicine gardens, and bring knowledge to those that still see our native opportunistic plants as nuisances. Creating a botanical sanctuary for endangered plants is my end goal-preserving the precious gifts we have been given.
